Tenacity

a faded beauty
bent but not broken
with stubborn tenacity
braves the elements

The last Poppy in my garden still gives me pleasure.

  1. Prickly but pretty - a survivor. We can learn from it.

  3. I often think of your neighbours who experienced that dreadful tragedy earlier this year. I hope the poppy represents how they're coping, bent and crumpled, but not broken entirely. If it's appropriate, please let them know they're in my thoughts. Sue

  4. You will have to wait till spring for the new ones. But snow can also be beautiful.

  6. Quite lovely!
You had so many pretties left in the fall, it must have been hard to let go of them.

  12. (sigh) I see this poppy and see myself. Struggling a little but somehow coming through even when every thing around me tells me to just withdraw. Nah...can't do that can we...still want to hold it together. I better stop while I am ahead here...this little poppy has put lots of thoughts into my head.....hehehehe I think I could write a book on how a poppy feels.....hehehe
