Still with Us - Mindful Writing Challenge

my husband stands silently holding the phone to his ear and smiling
I know he's hearing his best friend's voice
Frank's been dead a year and a half
but
he sounds strong and cheerful on his answering machine

  16. Bittersweet - a voice, sometimes an article, a piece of furniture filled with remembrance. They can bring tears, but also smiles at the memories.
