Dancing in Darkness

Night photo of my back yard processed in PIcasa
Half asleep, I felt my way from the bedroom to the back door, the howling wind keeping me company. As gusts hit the trees, sheets of snow flew sideways, the whole forest a turmoil of bending and shaking. Mesmerized, I watched a waking dreamscape of nightmarish dancing.

  2. OMG! That is a really cool pic Barb. I'm loving it. Did it look like that out there. Because if so I'm glad you were indoors. Carol

  3. I have written small stones in the middle of the night - but I have not yet started taking photos in the middle of the night. Great to see how we keep observing. Great photo editing. Playing with photos is as much as taking them.

  10. Nicely edited, Barb - you have that dreaming, nightmarish quality down pat, and yet an elusive beauty... wonderful imagery in your words, as well.

  11. That must have been great. I love the sound of the wind in the trees. David tells me that it might be the last sound I hear if I don't stay out of the woods during storms.

  15. Great pic, and great prose to go with it. At first I thought it was one of those high-end pencil drawings that appear in arts festivals.
