Interesting words, Barb. Very deep, actually. I'm sitting here pondering them (5 a.m.) wondering if we know all the filters that control our thoughts. How can each of us look at the same event, compile our thoughts and come up with so many versions and interpretations? I suspect each of us uses not just one but a complicated system of filters for every thought we have.
hi there Barb, I've been away from home, and am feeling so tardy about my visits. but in some ways I'm thinking that it's good to be away for awhile because when I return to such clarity and wonderful writing, well, I have new eyes. your reflections are enough, without the words but I love "the light and your own perspective". wow, that's some pretty awesome light you've captured. a real feel-good photo. happy day to you.
You always remind me of something important or express nicely what I have in my mind but can't express well myself. I'd like to keep my eyes clear as crystal to see the world filtering through my eyes. Have a happy and restful week, Barb.
nice...great shot and love the verse...being a nature fan and out in it i figure if the view is not perfect you just sit there long enough and the sun will change it...
This post is a metaphor for last week here in upstate, NY. We lost power for 36 hours during and after Hurricane Irene. After the power came back on, we all did a happy dance in the neighborhood and went on our ways. A generator kept water out of our basement and the fridge and freezer going. Fifteen miles down the road, Barb, our neighbors in villages nearby were suffering greatly. I had no idea until we drove to Schoharie to renew our vehicle registration. My reality was so different from theirs. Great photo, Barb, and as always, great words of wisdom! *Maria
Lovely shot, Barb. Hope you have been enjoying your summer. Are the leaves turning yet? :)
ReplyDeleteI am now learning to filter everything that comes into my life.
ReplyDeleteThrough this shot, I can see a circle of light in the midst.
Hope you are enjoying your summer and welcoming your early fall.
I look forward to my FALL outings.
