Entering Bryce Canyon before dawn, we make our way slowly downward as pink tinges the eastern horizon. A sliver of moon hangs in the sky. We shiver in the chill air, waiting for the warmth of the sun. Walking alone with only the towering Hoodoos and ancient trees as companions, we speak quietly, respectful in Nature's sanctuary.
The beauty of rock surrounds us - One Good Thing.

ReplyDeleteNature in all its glorious wonder, dawn breaking has that special touch, colour deepening, your words and photos fit so well together, let us all be patient, be thankful, and look to see what might be hiding there, for closer inpsection.Landscape superb!! Greetings from Jean
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I remember the Utah desert from our days in Price, UT (about 50 years ago). I loved the quietness and peace.
ReplyDeleteReading your words are such a joyful thing to do. Your choice of words and the way you use your pictures are just perfect. Glad you enjoyed your day :)
ReplyDeleteHappy to see you back to blogging, have a lovely day Barb :)
Absolutely stunning! I've wanted to visit Bryce Canyon for a few years now. This is beautiful, and I love the phrases you chose, as well. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I've always thought that desert and Indian country had a very special beauty to it ... I miss it (the New Mexico version!) .....
ReplyDeleteWhat a great place, I want to go back.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Thank you for taking me back to Bryce after all these years....delighted by your photos and especially by your thoughts...reverent in the best sense of the word.
ReplyDeleteYou have totally sold me. Your photos are just stunning. You are a true artist. Wow.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! I can just feel the crisp desert morning air :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteIt is one amazing thing! Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSigh...those red rock formations are exquisite. (She said softly, as respectfully as she could.)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you for taking us along on your trip through Bryce Canyon...such a beautiful place to enjoy life's beauty!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a trip, glad you took Lucinda and your readers along. When I was a kid in Price, UT, about 50 years ago, Moab had the reputation as a rough town. Lots of wild uranium miners I'm told.
ReplyDeleteNice time of the year to be there! Beautiful views with the morning light.
ReplyDeleteThe second photo looks like hills covered with carpet runners. I imagine that every person will see something different and unique when having the opportunity to be a part of this awesomeness. Your captions perfectly express what you see.
