A baby Orchid has joined our family. I hold it in my lap on the trip from the city. Its purple buds, like tiny fists, are still tightly closed. I watch it carefully, murmuring encouragement, changing its position, checking for moisture. As the wind swirls the snow into drifts in my yard, I await blooming.
Oh it's going to be beautiful. I hope you'll post a photo when it's in bloom.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.. much appreciated.
Hi Barb!
ReplyDeleteI love this ~ the plants ~ waiting for blossoms indoors.
At the consignment shop I love {I bought the Victorian secretary there} the owners have hyacinths blooming everywhere around the store. It's like a walk in a garden. {almost, but I'll take it!}
Is that your granddaughter in the layers of the Lucite pot? Love it!
Oh the book I'm reading is "One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp.
You can find it here
on Amazon.com
I'm finishing ch. 4 {slowly reading to enjoy her writing}
There are book club video chats with the author at http://www.incourage.me/category/bloom.
*wishing you a bloomin' week*

Congratulations on the new addition! It's a beautiful baby -- and I'm sure will be great when it blooms out. I agree with the comments above -- hope you post a picture of it when it does!
