I stand on a bridge overlooking Cherry Creek. To the west, the water is calm and to the east it is turbulent. Slowly, I turn my gaze from one direction to the other. I have these waters inside myself. They are both productive and necessary for the Life I live.
So true... we need both. Lovely shots and thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you caught the duck about to land. We do need both the turbulence and the calm - but I need to learn to create more calm.
ReplyDeleteI agree..we do need both. I never thought that way when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteGrateful that I can see this now. Thanks for the reminder.
Great duck photo!
ReplyDeleteSo true, Barb *
ReplyDeleteI feel both inside of me too...
...the calm and roaring!
I was going to remark on the beauty of the top image -- and then the duck scrolled into view..hilarious. Love it when stuff like that happens!
ReplyDeleteI love the creek, I miss the creek. Wish we had one by our house! Love Di ♥

I love this photo: a duck in a breeze stirring the water reflecting the blue skies.
ReplyDeleteI agree, and maybe more productivity comes from turbulence.
Barb, nice shot of the mallard! I appreciate the comments you made on my blog. I will have to check out the meme you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the duck landing - and I agree, the great outdoors we so admire is also in us. Nice observation.
