Bloom!

I'm celebrating summer at high altitude!

Purple Lupine, Orange Paintbrush, Yellow Senecio

Fireweed

Creamy Buckwheat, Purple Harebell

Arnica

Wild Geranium

While Nature is busy putting on a show, I'll spend less time on the computer and more time outdoors.

I'll peek at your blogs, but I'll take a break from posting.
Keep blooming!

  4. You know how I like the wild ones! We don't have fireweed right around here, but I see it when we go up in the mountains. I hope you don't get an early frost.

  6. So beautiful. The best wildflower picture I have ever taken (and the best ones I've ever seen) were in a field somewhere high above Denver, in July. Geoff took us for a Jeep ride on the trails up there, it was wonderful.

  8. Arnica!!! Thank you!!! I have it growing in my yard but never knew what the heck it was!!!!
Anyway our plants aren't looking quite as pretty as yours are Barb. Despite all of the watering, a lot of them are dying. Love Di ♥

  10. It is so refreshing to see such beautiful rich colours. We're in the midst of dreary, wet, windy winter gloom. Enjoy your vibrant summer!

  18. Each of these flowers are beautiful Barb but the first photo is stunning, glorious! I don't think we have anything like this in Australia. We have weeds but very few wildflowers - at least where I've been anyway.

  22. There's so much light and vibrant color in these photos. I think Lupine is one of my favorite flowers ever. I believe they have the most subtle, seductive fragrance. Others tell me they smell nothing, but it's there! happy week to you Barb. enjoy your blogging break.

  25. Hi Barb! Your photos are so lovely on my screen! I also appreciate learning the names of these beauties.
I completely understand how you feel about spending more time with nature during the summer months. There is so much to see and we don't want to miss any of it!
After we started to wrap up our painting and cleaning projects - I really wanted to just pause for a while and move into wonderful summertime!

Thank you so much, Barb, for the encouraging words you left for me on my last post. I'll keep these kind words close to heart as I go forward through the school year.
    I'm keepin' the faith!

I wish you all the joys of this beautiful season! God bless you always and continue to shower you with His Grace.

  29. Aren't 'weeds' just great when they're in the right place? I've been out today to take some photos of them too, not as gorgeous as yours, but then our wildflowers are on a far more modest scale than yours.
