Fireweed |
Creamy Buckwheat, Purple Harebell |
Arnica |
Wild Geranium While Nature is busy putting on a show, I'll spend less time on the computer and more time outdoors. I'll peek at your blogs, but I'll take a break from posting. Keep blooming! |
oh my goodness - that first photo is stunning! enjoy while you have it!!! :)
ReplyDeleteNow I know what the purple flowers are, similar to our Canterbury Bells here in NZ.I do like your inspiration column, specially William Blake, always a favourite of mine. Cheers from Jean
ReplyDeletewowzer! Gorgeous wildflowers.
ReplyDeleteYou know how I like the wild ones! We don't have fireweed right around here, but I see it when we go up in the mountains. I hope you don't get an early frost.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh if you have a chance can you please take that first image and make it your header. It's gorgeous. Carol
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. The best wildflower picture I have ever taken (and the best ones I've ever seen) were in a field somewhere high above Denver, in July. Geoff took us for a Jeep ride on the trails up there, it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics & what a wonderful celebration !
ReplyDeleteArnica!!! Thank you!!! I have it growing in my yard but never knew what the heck it was!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway our plants aren't looking quite as pretty as yours are Barb. Despite all of the watering, a lot of them are dying. Love Di ♥
With nature putting such a gorgeous show, its only best that you spend more time outdoors. The beautiful and colorful shots are a treat to the eyes as also for the soul. Wish you a fantastic week Barb:)
ReplyDeleteIt is so refreshing to see such beautiful rich colours. We're in the midst of dreary, wet, windy winter gloom. Enjoy your vibrant summer!
ReplyDeleteSue
We all need to take a break and enjoy nature's artwork. First photo is amazing with the different colors. xo
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of the wild flower field.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Just a wonderful collection of wildflowers from the Colorado Rockies...oh, how I loved summer when I lived in your area. Thanks for sharing these...and go enjoy the out of doors.
ReplyDeleteYour Mountain Wildflowers are gorgeous....
ReplyDeleteGlad you have had rains.....
Enjoy these summer days.
Sherry, who is praying for the Rain Dragons to return
Thanks for taking the time to share your blooms! Love those wildflowers!
ReplyDeleteHi,Barb.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you enjoy summer time! Your flowers are always lovely!
Tomoko
The flowers are gorgeous! Enjoy your time in the out-of-doors.
ReplyDeleteEach of these flowers are beautiful Barb but the first photo is stunning, glorious! I don't think we have anything like this in Australia. We have weeds but very few wildflowers - at least where I've been anyway.
ReplyDeleteMore time outdoors is a very wise choice. I don't blame you one bit. Enjoy. :) Gorgeous photos, Barb. That first one takes my breath away.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful week ahead and are enjoying your break Barb:)
ReplyDeleteso breathtaking and so beautiful! thanks for showing the arnica plant to me, I always have arnica drops with me to avoid bad bruises...happy flower-power-summer from me:-)
ReplyDeleteThere's so much light and vibrant color in these photos. I think Lupine is one of my favorite flowers ever. I believe they have the most subtle, seductive fragrance. Others tell me they smell nothing, but it's there! happy week to you Barb. enjoy your blogging break.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous with all those wild flowers.
ReplyDeleteso very pretty! we have the same flowers ~
ReplyDeleteHi Barb! Your photos are so lovely on my screen! I also appreciate learning the names of these beauties.
ReplyDeleteI completely understand how you feel about spending more time with nature during the summer months. There is so much to see and we don't want to miss any of it!
After we started to wrap up our painting and cleaning projects - I really wanted to just pause for a while and move into wonderful summertime!
Thank you so much, Barb, for the encouraging words you left for me on my last post. I'll keep these kind words close to heart as I go forward through the school year.
I'm keepin' the faith!
I wish you all the joys of this beautiful season! God bless you always and continue to shower you with His Grace.
- Maria
You AND your flowers are both blooming these days, Barb. Enjoy your immersion into summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I like your description of what nature is doing - "putting on a show." And good advice to "keep blooming." I give it my best shot.
ReplyDeleteOh how joyful the photos make me feel! Thank you for sharing the beauty with us!
ReplyDeleteAren't 'weeds' just great when they're in the right place? I've been out today to take some photos of them too, not as gorgeous as yours, but then our wildflowers are on a far more modest scale than yours.
ReplyDeleteJust passing through your blog, hope you are enjoying your time out. Have a wonderful sunday Barb :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying your summer!!!
ReplyDeleteStunning! what a great bloomer you are.
ReplyDeleteI just visited a sub alpine meadow a couple of weeks ago. The most beautiful place on earth I think.
